Evercare Hospital Lekki, was officially unveiled by His Excellency, the Vice President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu. This was a historic moment and marked the culmination of over 5 years of personal focus turning this vision into a reality.
Magic Fund announced its $30m second fund to continue backing early-stage startups across Africa, Europe, Latin America, North America, and Southeast Asia. We have jointly invested in 70 companies at pre-seed and seed stages across fintech, healthcare, SaaS and enterprise, women’s health, developer tools. over the past three years.
Finally, Kairos Angels continued to invest in amazing Founders! Notably, we invested in DiviBank’s $3.6m seed funding round, a financing platform that provides Latin American businesses with access to growth capital via revenue-share financing. In addition, we closed investments in BuyCoins, Termii, and Vendease.

Global leaders took to the stage in support of The Generation Equality Forum, a global milestone in the fight for a gender-equal future. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau participated in the opening ceremony and announced ca. $180m to advance gender equality around the world.
The Equality Fund and the Ford Foundation have been working with the Canadian Government to co-create the Global Alliance for Sustainable Feminist Movements to address challenges that women and girls face towards achieving equality, through funding and by enabling better planning among donors and feminist movements.
We must continue to reimagine new ways that government, private philanthropy and the private sector can work together to unlock capital to accelerate the progress in gender equality to achieve a gender-equal future.

I have spent most of my career as an investor, from early-stage venture capital to late-stage buyouts and everything in-between. Kukua’s ‘Super Sema’ series is Africa’s first kid superhero animated series. Fueled by STEAM superpowers, Super Sema follows the adventures of the titular extraordinary young African girl. I am inspired by the Kukua approach to solving child illiteracy across Africa by leveraging the power of technology, innovation and imagination to ultimately redefine what is possible.

Divibank a financing platform offering LatAm businesses access to growth capital, has closed on a $3.6 million round of seed funding led by Better Tomorrow Ventures, with participation from Kairos Angels, MAYA CAPITAL, Village Global, Clocktower Group, and more.
